Professional Painting Services for Homes and Businesses
A good paint job is mostly decided before the can is opened: the patching, the sanding, the tape line, the drop cloths. Refresh your home with painting services performed by background-checked, vetted HouseBench pros who work carefully in and around your living space.
One bedroom or a full repaint, we look at the surfaces, the prep, the materials, the access, and the finish you want, and put all of it in a written scope before work starts.

Paint Services for Different Properties
Whether it's a townhouse bedroom or a clinic waiting room, our painter services start with the same written scope. We paint:
Houses and townhomes
Apartments and condos
Home offices
Commercial offices
Retail and professional spaces
Shared residential areas
Homes being prepared for sale
Newly purchased homes
Residential Painting Services
A house painting service might be one bedroom or every room in the house. Each room asks for something a little different, and kitchens and bathrooms are where the wrong paint shows up first, usually within a year.
Living rooms and bedrooms
The walls people look at most. Usually eggshell or matte, which hides small dents better than anything shinier.
Kitchens
Walls near the stove get a degreasing wash first, or the new paint won't grip. A scrubbable finish helps after that.
Bathrooms
Humidity is the problem here, so we use a finish made for damp rooms. Run the fan for a few days afterward and it will thank you.
Hallways and entryways
The scuff zone. A tougher, wipeable sheen is worth it.
Home offices
Usually a one-room job, and easiest before the desk and shelves go back in.
Basements
Damp walls get dealt with before any paint goes on. Paint over moisture and it peels.
GARAGES
Garages take a lot of abuse from dirt, moisture, and temperature changes. A durable paint finish helps protect walls and keeps the space cleaner.
DINING ROOMS
Dining rooms need a clean, polished look that works for everyday meals and special occasions. We focus on smooth finishes and careful detail around trim and features.
Professional Painting Services
The right prep and paint depend on the surface, its condition, how the room gets used, and the finish you want. Here's what we take on.

Interior wall painting
Anyone offering professional interior painting services should spend most of the first morning on the unglamorous part: filling nail holes, sanding patches, and spot-priming. The clean edges and the rollers come after that.

Exterior painting services
Siding, stucco, previously painted brick, trim, fascia and soffits, doors, shutters, garage doors, porches, and fences. Exterior work waits for dry weather and the temperatures the paint label allows.

Commercial painting
Offices, retail, restaurants, medical and professional offices, and common areas in apartment communities. Tell us your opening hours and we'll plan around them.

Rental and turnover painting
Apartment turnovers, rental homes, short-term rentals, and offices between tenants. Turnovers run on a deadline, so the scope and the finish date are agreed up front.

Cabinets and built-ins
Kitchen cabinets, vanities, and built-in shelves. Slower than walls: degreasing, sanding, a bonding primer, and doors painted off their hinges.

Accent walls and specialty work
Accent walls, two-tone rooms, stair railings, fireplace surrounds, and previously painted brick.

Ceilings and Trim Painting
Careful work on ceilings, baseboards, crown moulding, doors, and trim to create clean lines and a finished look.

Wall Repairs and Surface Preparation
Includes patching holes, repairing cracks, sanding, caulking, and preparing surfaces so paint applies smoothly and lasts longer.
Surface Preparation and Protection
Most of a paint job's quality is decided here. Standard prep and protection are on the left. The work on the right changes the price, so it's quoted on its own.

What Is Included in a Painting Service?
Before any work starts, you get a written estimate. It's the document we both work from, so it spells out:
Our Painting Process
Eight steps. The first three are mostly talking, and they're the reason the last one is usually short.
- 01
Request an Estimate
Tell us about your space, the rooms that need painting, your goals, color preferences, and any repairs or concerns. Photos help us understand the project.
- 02
Review the Project and Prepare the Plan
We inspect the surfaces, discuss the paint options, confirm the scope of work, and finalize materials, colors, finishes, and timelines.
- 03
Prepare and Paint
We protect furniture and floors, repair and prepare surfaces, then apply professional-quality paint using the right tools and techniques for the finish you want.
- 04
Final Inspection and Cleanup
We review the completed work with you, handle any touch-ups, remove coverings, clean the area, and make sure everything is finished properly.
What Do Professional Painting Services Cost?
There's no standard per-room price, because the estimate comes from the job itself. When you compare quotes, check that each one includes the same prep, primer, paint, coats, and cleanup. A cheaper quote with one coat and no primer is a different job.

Paint Colors, Products, and Finishes
Color is the part everyone thinks about. Whatever we use, we follow the label for prep, drying time, and conditions.
Sheen | Where it usually goes | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
Flat or matte | Ceilings, low-traffic walls | Hides flaws best, but marks more easily when scrubbed. |
Eggshell | Living rooms, bedrooms | A soft glow that wipes clean better than flat. |
Satin | Hallways, kitchens, bathrooms | Handles moisture and regular cleaning. |
Semi-gloss | Trim, doors, cabinets | Tough and wipeable, and it shows every dent. |
Gloss | Railings, front doors, accents | The hardest-wearing finish, and the least forgiving. |
Interior paint services (walls, ceilings, trim, and doors), exterior painting, cabinets, commercial spaces, and rental turnovers. What's available can vary by area, so send photos and the details and we'll confirm.
It depends on the size of the job, the surfaces and their condition, the prep, the paint, the number of coats, access, and location. A per-room price found online rarely survives contact with the actual walls, so ask for an estimate for your project.
The estimate says so either way, for paint, primer, caulk, masking supplies, and anything else. It also names the product and the sheen.
Usually two. A big color change, a porous patch, or a thin paint can push it to three, and primer sometimes saves a coat. You'll see the plan for each surface before anything is booked.
Small nail holes and minor dings, yes, when they're in the estimate. Large drywall damage, texture matching, active moisture, mold, or structural problems need their own assessment and price.
Please take care of small, fragile, valuable, and electronic items yourself. Who handles the bigger pieces, and whether that costs extra, gets agreed when we scope the job.
Some stains can be sealed with a stain-blocking primer and painted over. If there's an active leak, damp, or mold, that gets fixed first. Paint over a wet stain and it comes back through.
Yes, as a separate service. It takes longer than walls: cleaning, sanding, a bonding primer, the right coating, time to cure, and then rehanging every door and drawer front.
For a typical home painting service, a single bedroom can often be done in a day. A whole-house exterior can take a week or more, depending on the weather. Once we've seen the scope, you get a real timeframe.
Most interior paint is dry to the touch within an hour or two, but it takes a few weeks to fully cure. You can move back in once it's dry. Hold off on scrubbing the walls or rehanging heavy frames until the label says it has cured.
Basic color and sheen advice, yes. A full color consultation, large sample boards, or design help is a separate appointment and may cost extra.
